Looking for Fletching advice.

I've gotten my fletching skill up to 202 and I am trying to map out a path to raise it beyond that point. The problem I'm seeing is that all of the recipes above that level require looted components from various zones, or at least that is what I'm seeing on the ole EQTraders site. Are there merchants who sell these materials? The one I'm remembering right now is "Drake spikes" but there were several others. Is it possible to level past 202 using vendor supplied materials? As always thanks in advance for any advice you give!

Actually, trivial 282 with all merchant-bought components:

Depending on your server and level, getting the animal bones and feathers in shards landing doesnt take a whole heck of a long time and will take you to 300+ trophy.

Tunare and Karana worshippers have it quite a bit easier. Might need a 51+ persona with the TS AAs though

the cheat code is to worship karana or be a woodelf. Then you can go to 300 and max your trophy for cheap vendor stuff. Otherwise, 283+ and maxing trophy gets pretty dark.

Drake-spikes are not (and AFAIK never have been) available on vendors. All the other advice offered is good.

Edit: something else to consider is refining timber into lumber from any expansion RoS or later.

Pretty sure those don't give skill? Or just one expansion?

Yes, Overseer is the way to go if you have that available. You can go from 0 to max skill and trophies for most standard trades very cheaply with Overseer rewards. Pottery, research, tinkering, poison making and alchemy still require the traditional skill paths.
