[Fangbreaker] Gearing advice?

Having gone from 20 to 49 this weekend (& probably 51 tonight), my gear is woefully far behind. We're talking not even good twink stuff. Hello, bronze boots. O_O

What would be the best thing to do for gearing up to a minimal raid level?

- target coin HZs so I can buy gear in the Baz?
- target loot HZs so I can sell stuff/get upgrades?
- solo some Sol Ro quests for at least that small step up?
- skip right into Kael farming for Thurg quest armor?
- something else I haven't thought of (but not just sponging off my guild, please)?

What routes have others had success with when you leveled a bit TOO fast?

krono is the answer many have selected.

In the time it would take you to make a full set of twilight sea gear (as a midlevel gear example) you could have just mindlessly farmed spider silks and bought better gear in every slot.

FB has coin bonus, at 51 there are some places that really adds up. Kael can be decent, plus you are doing faction and maybe getting the quest armor drops (some pieces at least).

Upper group level Luclin there will be zone rots in places like Maidens Eye (goranga idol, various clubs, the mage ear, etc.) because a lot of the Luclin tradeable drops are lore.

Many of the dungeons that are grey or starting to grey out to you could have drops to use/sell such as Najena, Crystal Caverns, Guk, Tower of Frozen Shadow (early floors), Dalnir.

Guild groups may have interest in doing things like Old Sebilis, Chardok, Karnors, Umbral Plains, that can have items of interest.

You don't mention your class, which matters a lot. As a Cleric, for instance, I'd live in Kael until I had the clicky legs - a better item for raids than your epic, assuming that there are at least 2 epic clerics already there.

If you're a warrior, I hope you picked a deity : the best stuff you can buy right now is cultural. Depending on the guild, you will need this stuff and more to have a hope of tanking a boss.

If you're a Bard, your bronze boots will be most welcome. Look at resist gear and instruments instead.

If you're a Knight, I actually wouldn't worry too much either. Your main tanking days end in two weeks. You'll just need to get up over the AC soft cap to be a decent group and trash tank, and make sure you have a shield as well as a good two hander for dps.

I leveled at the start so I was in banded and plate when I started raiding.

If you're not tanking you should be able to go straight into raiding then try to get gear with your new raiding friends.
