When I upgraded to lvl 85 heroic on my Ranger I did not receive the AA’s associated with the upgrade. The only AA’s I have was from when I stopped playing 18 years ago. Please advise

Are you gold and have autogrant turned on? Auto grant is only available to gold accounts, otherwise your AA cap is super small (like 500-1000).
If you are gold and have autogrant turned on, you generally need to zone once.

Heroic don't need auto grant.

What are some specific AAs do you think you didn't get?

I’m pretty sure I’m silver. My account is old tho lol. I thought with the upgrade you are supposed to get 1000 AA’s . I only have the original AA’s that I had before I stopped playing. I was looking to spend the AA’s myself, is that not an option?

You get far more than the 1000. That 1000 is the cap that as a Silver you would have stopped at.

You get all the AA for the level of the Heroic you bought. It will override Silver or Free caps and grant you them all one time and it will go over the cap. You cannot earn more after that unless you go paid.

You will not be able to spend the AA yourself as they go in according to the level of your character.

How many "spent" and "earned" do you show over on the right?

Yes it’s like 5488/1000…. So I can no longer earn any AA’s even thru experiencing????

Right, Silver is capped at 1000. You are way over that with 5,488 AA. So even though buying that Heroic allows you to go over that cap it is only because you bought the Heroic.

Now there is an AA increaser in the marketplace but it is not worth it for how few AA you get.

You can also wait till you are higher level, like 100 or up and sub for a month for a lot less money.

During that month your AA cap is lifted and you can earn and spend more and put them where you want OR

Turn on Auto Grant for that month and all the AA from level 85 where you are now to whatever level you do that at will be granted. Again no choice on where to put those.

You will keep all the AA you get during that month. Tip - it can be hard to earn as many AA as auto grant would give. So most players Auto Grant and then try to earn more for the tradesill AA that auto grant does not cover.

You do not get spendable AA points from heroic. You get AA ranks auto learned.

As a side effect from being free to play, your heroic character is locked from earning or spending any additional aa points because of the character cap. People like to level up a f2p heroic character then when high enough sub for one month to get the auto grant, which you keep if you cancel and go back to f2p.

You'd have to pay for at least one month or consume a Krono, though players are selling those in game for 6 milliion platinum and more on my server. During the month that you are All Access, you can earn and spend AA points. You will keep any AA you purchase while you have an All Access account even if you later drop back down to Silver. But you won't be able to spend any banked AA when you go back to Silver.

Also, auto grant is now available for almost all AA that were introduced in Torment of Veeshan or earlier. Torment of Veeshan raised the level cap to 115, so you won't run out of autogranted AA until you reach level 115 (but the AA that were released with Claws of Veeshan have a max required level of 115 and won't be included with autogrant until next year's expansion launches).

yup, pay for the game you are playing. Terrible, right?

Fine if you want to criticize him for not understanding what he purchased, but this criticism doesn't hit very hard when aimed at someone who literally just spent $35 on the game.
